Item Description

Circa 1900s, probably Ersari, this unique weaving is an example of the beautiful tradition of rug weaving found among the Turkoman tribes.  Turkoman weavers made many functional trappings for various uses.  Bags for storage, tent bands used to cover their tents, bedding and as in this piece, horse blankets.

Excellent condition.
