Item Description
Most of these large impressive toys never survived. The fact that these were toys and also made of very delicate Papier-Maché make nice examples rare. I brought this item back from Paris over 20 years ago. The patina and hand painting have just the "right" look. The painted wood base is also dated 1916. As expected you will find the typical small stress cracks and edge wear. I would consider this toy to be in excellent condition. It displays nicely on a table or easily hangs on the wall.
