Trio of Wallpaper Print Rollers as Vases for sale
Item ID: 390825
Item Description
Antique wallpaper print rollers as vases. These rollers were used in the early 20th century to print wallpaper. Elaborate wallpaper designs were created by highly-skilled craftspeople who cut out and etched ink pads in brass filligree and hammered them into mahogany or rock maple rollers. These rollers were then locked onto an industrial press for printing the wallpaper, four rollers often used in tandem to complete the pattern, each contributing a part of the design and a color. The hollow center of the roller makes it ideal for mounting displays of dried flowers, grasses and branches. Nature's design in concert with striking industrial artifacts of interior design. Price is per roller vase.
