Created in Morocco, this vintage mid-century rug showcases a charming variety of large- and small-scale symbols set over a plush ivory field with luxurious ribbed pile. Geometric lozenges, towering totems, honeycomb cells and mysterious symbols dot the field creating a harmonious pattern formed by many unique motifs and symbols. This vintage Moroccan rug captures a beautiful array of variations that are unique yet pleasantly similar to their neighbors. The cocoa brown motifs are beautifully offset by the chic ivory-colored background. Linear borders rendered in a robust hue of cocoa brown enclose the field creating an informal frame that completes the airy, abstract composition.
