Item Description
Semi-antique, circa 1920, Tekke Turkoman rug. Excellent condition with lush low pile in a rich burgundy palette. Hand-knotted in northwest Persia using 100% durable wool. Large, room-size piece.
The design reflects both the major and minor gul's of the Tekke tribe, one of the thirty-some known to inhabit this rugged country. A work of art that has survived the decades.
