Item Description
This desk and credenza suite was designed by a team of designers from Alcoa, GF Studios and Reynolds expressly for the Reynolds Metals Headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. The building was designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and built in 1958. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and now owned by the University of Richmond.
Of course the building makes extensive use of aluminum, down to threads in the carpeting as well as the furnishings. The desk and office credenza were named Italic Styling and marketed by GF Studios. The materials for this matching desk and credenza are anodized aluminum and laminated red oak. The desk and credenza can be bought separately but they will be sold as a pair for 10% discount.
