A brass plaque on the base indicates that this piece was manufactured by; Midland Optical Mfg. Co.; Kansas City, U.S.A.. The cast iron base, with a cylindrical, adjustable stem atop three cabriole legs, supports a newer, square mahogany top with an ovolu edge. It is a nice, usable size and could be used indoors or outside. Height is adjustable to 33.5".
