We can build them with straight tapered legs, cabriole, or turned leg styles, with or without leaves, drawers. leaf storage in the interior of the table, or a cutting board - and this photo shows a cabriole leg table with leaves at 34 x 84 x 30h. These are custom pieces built to your specifications. Prices start at $1680 for a 30 x 60 with no leaves and straight tapered legs. This table shown here == (measuring 34 x 84 x 30h, and with two 22 inch leaves) is priced at $2781. These breadboard ends pull out on sturdy arms, allowing expansion via leaves that fit by small splines into each other and into the breadboard ends. The table can be made such that the breadboard pulls out to reveal a hidden drawer, or a compartment in which to store the leaves inside the table, hidden by the aprons. These have a bombproof finish, and they will look fantastic, with absolutely no glass rings or stains visible, for years to come under normal, relaxed dining conditions. We call it a "living finish" because it is easy to live with, looks natural and alive, and will age beautifully. It wears a distressed, durable and easily repairable penetrating oil finish which gives the table a very authentic looking, buttery antique look and feel. It is built from the fast growing northwest native hardwood alder. We used alder because it's a readily available and inexpensive and green wood that looks lovely hand planed, and given the right finishing treatments it does a great job at impersonating French walnut. The aging looks very authentic, and I have stood by anonymously while customers have mistaken this table or others like it for an antique.
