NOTE: Our client bought from us this set of antique chestnut chairs and wanted us to build a four person round table to harmonize with the chairs, in a finish that was to almost match yet be a shade darker.
Table itself is 44 inches diameter and is priced at $1236.

This is a beautiful small kitchen or breakfast nook table with hand carving and a hand planed and distressed surface, made to order and finished to match these four ladderback antique chairs which are made of chestnut. The table is made of the inexpensive northwest "weed" alder wood, which is a sustainable choice, and when given the right finishing treatments, this versatile wood makes a very convincing attempt at economically impersonating antique European fruitwoods including lovely aged walnut. This table wears a rich, medium-dark, neutral brown color. It looks especially at home in old houses, or around other antiques. This style of table can be ordered in different sizes and colors. Lead time depends on our workload; please call for an estimate. 503-816-5316. The finish is a durable, distressed, water, wine and food resistant "living" finish. It will still look great after many years of dining service, and will naturally have the buttery traditional look and feel that you might expect on an antique piece. You'll want to avoid putting pans directly from the stove on the surface. But is not necessary to protect the finish with placemats or coasters for normal dining. The table is also remarkably stable, and there are four small hidden screw-in levelers placed at the tip of each foot which will keep it from rocking on an uneven floor.
