Item Description
Authorized 1920's re-issue of two enameled bronze dancers on an onyx base. This French Art Deco masterpiece "Tender Promises" was created and signed by D.H. Chiparus as a coveted and authorized 1920's re-issue of his original singular sculpture which had ivory hands and faces and would sell for a price in the miliions of dollars if it were even to come onto the market today. Comprised of two cast bronze enameled dancers with kneeling figures on a 30" wide onyx base that also has a series of simple contrasting diamond shaped onyx 'rosettes'. A perfectly dramatic accessory for any mantel, sideboard, tabletop, or even on a display pedestal.
