Item Description
A vintage African art mask by the Zande / Azande people of the Republic of Congo. The mask is 13.5 inches tall and has the remains of its white paint. There is patina and it is in good original condition.
Originating circa 1950 /1960, the mask is a part of a collection acquired by a Swiss diplomat during a 40 year tenure in the region, focusing on masks and African art from the regions of Tanzania and the Republic of Congo.
