Recently, we had to resolve a design issue for a client searching for a large mirror. We thought that a simple rectangular mirror was too mundane.
So, we sourced these 3 large vintage 1940s frames to use as mirror frames and decided to stack them but could be used in a row for art, mirrors or antique art prints or etchings. The graphic look is decidedly modern and reminded us of Palladian architecture.
In the end, the frames were too big for our client's space. Perhaps, they would resolve your mirror, mirror on the wall issue. The frames measure 29.3 x 26 (exterior) & 20 x 16.25 (interior) inches each. The frames are carved wood with stepped design; ebonized wood with gold leafing. They are in general good condition with some retouching to gold in areas.
