Vintage Ottoman-era Turkish copper tray. (circa 1800-1850) Construction: Solid Copper with tin overlay; hand-hammered and engraved with significant patterning and detail.

Copper trays such as this piece were the traditional gift from parents to child upon the child's marriage. Given its fancy design and very heavy weight, this was likely such a gift amongst a wealthier family during the Ottoman Era.
