Item Description
A vintage Bauhaus era (20's/30's), Swiss design, table lamp. The lamp's design follows the Bauhaus mantra, Form=Function. The shade turns on its axis and the arm also can be moved on its axis. Fully extended, the total height is 25 inches and the visor shaped shade is 10.25 inches at widest point. It will need re-wiring.

The lamp was produced by the Swiss lighting manufacturer B.A.G. The company, along with Belmag, was one of the leading producers of lighting during this period and worked closely with Swiss architects, such as Sigfried Gideon and Hin Bredendieck, in incorporating industrial design and Bauhaus inspired architecture lines to create lamps that were functional and clearly modern.
