In 2005 the Las Vegas Review wrote about this lamp as the feature item for the famous Las Vegas Expo Charity Auction:
"The highlight of each year's Expo is a charity auction with thousands of items raising thousands of dollars for local charities. This year's featured auction item will be a rare limited edition lamp created by renowned Disney artist Randall Fullmer. The lamp, valued at $5,000, is one of only 50 in the world."
And according to the Las Vegas View which reported on the same auction:
One of the most attention-grabbing pieces to go to the highest bidder is a lamp created by renowned artist Randall Fullmer. Fullmer is more than a glass artist. He works for Disney Studios and is producer of the upcoming animation film "Chicken Little." The limited-edition lamp he crafted is made of wood, metal and glass and valued at $5,000. It is one of only 50 in the world."
The September 2005 edition of Glass Craftsman Magazine did a wonderful feature article on this lamp. Glass Craft is the best magazine for art glass. Along with the lamp, The winning bidder will receive a DVD of the entire issue, including the 4 page feature article. (We purchased the DVD back issue from Glass Craft and are very impressed with this gorgeous magazine.)
The Feature Article on this lamp states, in part:
" Fullmer did the woodwork, metalwork and glass-work for the lamps himself....The resulting lamps are impressive structures,contrasting the hard, even brittle nature of wood, metal, and glass against a soft, flowing, organic form."
