Item Description
This Victorian gold ring is dominated by the large brilliant-cut oval smoky quartz. The stone measures 25x20mm and is held in place by numerous small prongs and a beaded border. Flaring out from the center stone are shield and box shapes, each holding a floral or foliate motif. All of this floats above the finger on top of the open gallery which is curved to keep the ring from turning. Though the ring is large, it is also delicate in it's design. The underside of the ring is stamped with the makers mark "DHJ" and English hallmarks for 9K gold and the year 1888. The full length of the ring is approximately 2 inches. Size 6 1/2
