Item Description
This wonderful bracelet was made by Franklin Carillo, a master silversmith of the Laguna Pueblo/ Chocktaw nation. It is of Sterling Silver inlaid with a myriad of minerals and shells. Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Sugilite, Red Coral, and more.
Signed "F.C. Laguna Sterling"
Excellent vintage condition.

Franklin Carrillo is a nontraditional Native American jeweler based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has 25 years of experience creating silver and gold jewelry and works with a variety of semi-precious stones from all regions of the world. Mr. Carrillo participates in numerous Indian Art Markets throughout the year including the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Smithsonian's National Museum of American Indian Winter Art Market in New York City, and the Heard Museum Indian Market. Over the years, he has won numerous awards for his work, such as the 2001 Best of Division award in the Non-Contemporary Jewelry Category at the SWAIA Indian Market, First Place in the Non-Traditional Bracelet Category at the 2008 SWAIA Indian Market, and the 2008 Acquisition Award at the Arizona State Museum Southwest Indian Art Fair for his Celestial Wings bracelet-a piece which is now a part of the Museum's permanent collection.
