Extremely tall, brilliant aqua ombre-glazed ceramic vase by California artist Kay Finch.The glaze gradually fades in color toward the base. This type of piece is a complete departure from the figurines of dogs, kittens, and endearing animals Finch is noted for. Her signature is lightly incised on the bottom and hard to capture in photo as shown.
Californian artist Kay Finch opened her first studio in1939 by her home in Corona del Mar. She is widely known for her animal figurines that were her signature style and are highly collectable. She closed her own business in 1962.
