Knud Kyhn (Danish, 1880-1969)
Made for Royal Copenhagen (Danish, 1775-present)Signed and dated lower right:"19 K/K 40" with three wavy lines for Royal Copenhagen. Paper label on edge. A painter and sculptor, Kyhn worked intermittently for Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl factories, among others. These pieces feature raised, moulded panels depicting the garden of Eden, with Adam and Eve. They make a stunning and very dramatic art statement.
