This vintage Danish Modern room divider is the sort of piece one designs an entire room around! It is in extraordinary condition, considering its age, showing only minor wear, and all internal sections are in perfect condition.
The set is quite unusual in its design, in that the intersecting squares which comprise the center of the screen are not, in fact, glued together. Rather, each has been carved to fit exactly with its partner (we're reminded of the game Jenga...) This gives the screen a certain flexibility, which probably explains how it has survived the last 50+ years in the condition it has!
It is worth noting, too, that the 4 panel divider is hinged, and can be divided into two 2-panel sections, which will stand independently. (See additional images) At 5 feet across, they are also substantial enough to be divided and used in different areas of the room.
