Item Description
This is a lovely original framed watercolor drawing by furniture designer Renzo Rutili. It is one of three available drawn by Rutili and purchased from a local Grand Rapids, MI estate. Rutili lived and worked in Grand Rapids while designing furniture for Johnson Furniture Co. in Grand Rapids.
This small drawing with watercolor wash is custom framed in gold and black. Written on the piece is 'Cluny Museum'. It is also dated Paris 3/21/25. I believe this is a drawing of a piece of furniture (a bed) at the Cluny museum in Paris. It is interesting to see the choice of furniture to draw, and compare them to known pieces he designed for Johnson Furniture. This would be an excellent addition to a wall grouping, or a really special gift for someone into design, furniture, interiors, or architecture.
