Item Description
This oil on canvas by the French artist of Russian heritage, Pinchus Kremegne
(1890-1981), depicts a female wearing hat decorated with flowers. Stretcher measures 15 by 18.2 in (38.1 by 46.2 cm) and the frame measures 19.8 by 23 in (50.3 by 58.4 cm). This work dates from the second or third quarter of the twentieth century and resides in a period frame. Canvas was relined an estimated 20-30 years ago and is in good condition, with obvious craquelure and no visible losses. Frame has noticeable scrapes and losses along the edges.
