Item Description
This wonderful oil by Paul Duvergne depicts Muslim gentlemen walking toward a tomb. On verso is an original paper label from F. Weber & Co. of Philadelphia, a manufacturer, importer and retailer of artist supplies. This firm became the successor to Janentzky & Weber Manufacturers & Importers, circa 1890.
Provenance: Christie's, New York, Sale 2035, 10/22/08, Lot 92, estimate $15,000-$20,000 (bought-in).
