Tibetan Buddha Box

Tibetan Buddha Box or House.  The Tibetans believe that if they possess a Buddha staute, then they need to have a home for it, or covering, shelter, or a shrine.  This is a great smaller Buddha box, the front panel slides up to place the Buddha inside.  Great Tibetan folk art.  Lasa, Tibet early 20th century.
