A very stylish and well made chair and quite hard to date, of course it is a reproduction and I would put it to be made in the mid century period. The finish is walnut bt the wood is beech ; chosen for it's strength because of the difficult cutting involved in its making . I have not seen a seam in the X form but will not say that their isn't ; It is simply a very well made chair. The seat height is 15 inches.
