Included here is a matching pair of dore metal table lamps, circa 1900-1920, attributed to E.F. Caldwell, featuring incised neoclassical designs including putti, urns, and scrolling foliage. They each measure 29" tall and 7" square at the base, and three working sockets and intact wiring dating from the mid to late twentieth century. Their design matches a lamp in the Edward F. Caldwell digital archives at the Smithsonian Institution Libraries (www.sil.si.edu). Pictured below, this lamp, A5762, was produced between 1906 and 1908. These items reside with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York city and may be seen by appointment.
