Pair of Antique Louis XV Style Carved Giltwood Sconces

This pair of gilded, carved wooden, two-candle sconces date from the nineteenth century.  Sockets and wiring were added in the early twentieth century, but must be replaced.   The finish is original and each is in very good condition.  There is visible wear to the gilding, consistent with age, with the red ground showing through.  Each is dusty and would benefit from a gentle cleaning.  There are a few chip losses. We can add new sockets, candle covers and wiring for an additional $200.
