Included here is a pair of antique Japanese Imari porcelain covered urns dating from the late nineteenth or very early twentieth century. Each measures 12.5" wide and 15" high. Possibly by Samson. Provenance provided upon request. Each features neoclassical bronze mounts and the lids have been affixed via hardware to the pots. Bronze mounts hide the undersides of the pots and there are no identifying hallmarks. The pair are likely examples of Japanese export porcelain or more likely by Samson et Cie of France, circa 1890-1910. Each is in excellent condition, with no visible cracks, but one handle is missing. These items reside with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York and may be seen by appointment.
