This sculptural vase in amber and various shades of green, circa 1970-1990s, was hand blown by the noted Czech artist, Pavel Hlava (1924-2003).  Signed "P Hlava" with "Czechoslovakia".  Condition is excellent. There are no damages and no deep scratches.  Hlava was one of the great Czech glass blowers of the last half of the twentieth century.  His works are included in the permanent collections of dozens of leading modern art museums around the world, including the Corning Museum of Glass. The International Exhibition of Glass in Kanazawa Japan awards a prize in his name.
