P.E. Gane was Bristol's best known furniture maker and retailer. The firm was in existence from the early 19th century until 1954 and supplied good quality furniture to many Bristol buildings, including the Old Council House and the Mansion House. At various times they had showrooms in Cardiff and Newport, as well as a 5-story factory in Bristol.
