Antique Bamboo Altar Table

19th century Altar table of speckled Bamboo and elm wood top, Shanxi province China, circa 1870s. The lattice design is created by jioning each piece of bamboo together using a form of caining to include some wooden and bamboo pegs. Lattice sprandrels, apron, boxed case legs with wooden everted flanges.  Bamboo furniture of this era from China is very sought after and collectable.
