A rare 1920's bent metal and wooden desk designed by Marcel Breuer. The desk measures 427.5 x 40 x 17.25 inches. The desk was produced by the Swiss furniture company, Bigla, which produced furniture under license from Thonet for the Swiss market during this period. This practice was common in the 20's due to the high import taxes. There is the original circular metal label underneath. The chair has patina and is in very good condition.
